Living in Notasulga, Alabama during the 1960s was the best and worst times of my life. Growing up in Notasulga was nice and easy during the 1950s and then interragation came knocking at our school. I am not sure why Macon County High School was chosen on this particular day 1964. I remember walking out of the school and seeing people everywhere. There were newspaper reports, photographers, state troopers, and moms and dads everywhere. I know that school was stressful that day, but I had no idea that we would be making history that day. I will never forget walking out of school that day.
